going into a critical season loaded with promise i personally am very grateful to have a familiar veteran like JP ready to step in for whatever duty the team needs him

given Edwards' relatively frequent injury history (not to mention a still unproven potential) it looks virtually guaranteed JP will get at least a handful of starts and his solid play could easily be the difference in competing for a playoff spot

post if you are glad to have JP on the team this year

I'm glad to have him now.

I would have prefered he was dealt in the spring with only a year left on his deal. But FA backup types were all gone quickly and a move was then impossible. So I knew he was staying for 2008.

i'm glad we have him as our # 2.

That being said, he makes me pull my hair out on an occasion.

Did Frank Reich ever make you pull your hair out?

JP will only be good IF he makes good decisions. However, he seems to make the same mistakes every game.

How long has he been on this team to correct the goofs?

I think JP is about as good as youre going to get for a backup.

Take a look around the league at the #2's. Not too impressive. JP is a very serviceable #2. Since Trent has a history of not staying healthy, I'm happy to have JP as a #2.

Yes god forbid he plays like I know he can with this new team.....

You will have to go to costo to buy the crow in bulk...

FTY and philage3 can help with troft as well...

I have come to except free agency for what it is.

This situation is similar to the Micheal Turner deal last season.

The Chargers retained his rights for depth purposes till he moved on!

I can't wait for Jp to be on another roster missing reads and taking sacks. Rojo was better then this clown.

You KNOW? Whatever.

BTW...........will you eat crow if he did get significant playing time this year and play like the same old JP or would you keep making excuses for him? Don't bother................I already know the answer.

JP is deffenlly a serviceable backup. The reps he will get tonight can only help him. Given Trent's propensity for injury, we need a backup who is sharp.

It will be his new OC's fault.

it's always someone elses fault, losman has the perfect physical tools, but has mush for brains. Sorry, we have seen the best jp can do.

huh? You guys start the threads. Look at the threads. I don't see any started by the so called haters.

It is ******ed to say you want him to play like the same ole JP this year. He plays like :poop: at least half the time but since he has a couple huge games to pad his overall stats you say thats acceptable? Whatever

Most of them stated they are glad he's here as a backup. I'm fine with him as a backup. Backups are backups for a reason. They aren't good enough to start. If he sees significant time this year we're screwed.
