All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

1. In the NHL cap there is a window where teams do not have to be under the cap.
2. Teams future salaries must be compliant with THIS years cap.
3. Buffalo better move to quickly use the rest of their "internal cap" or they will lose Pommers.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

Do we remembered what happened the last couple of times a player went into the regular season without a new deal...one plays for the Rangers and the other for the Black Hawks.

I'm more than fine with the Blackhawks shelling out that much cash for one as opposed to us, and the other didn't seem to anxious to stick around here anyways.

Not when they put an offer out and when a price was agreed to nothing was done for weeks.
I will never see the Buffalo Sabres over the salary cap in my life time.
You will never see any team over the salary cap since it is against the rules. Who cares if they are over now?
Two years ago they were right against the cap. Who do we fault for that?
I'm not going to kill them for not throwing money around. I will kill them for not having the forward thinking of tying up their own FA when they can. I can only say "we'll see if they've learned" so many times. Ryan Miller was a huge step in the right direction, but I won't anoint them a great FO if they fall behind on the Pomminville front.
