    Game.

Let me start be saying this is Trents team
and I also dont think there should be an open
compitition for the qb postition. I had my opinion
last year and stand by it..however Trent is younger
cheaper and is starting at the gound floor with a good
supporting cast...that is a recipe for success.

I was happy for JP I thought he did very well.
He had a few bad throws one was caught..one was
too high and one behind. He overcame reeds
dropsies in the begining with making some plays.
He seem now to be good enough to overcome some
things on the Bills that he has not in the past....adversity.

With all of the injuries..he still came out swinging and that was good to see.
In the last presser I saw a humbled man....and possibly he has turned some kind of corner in his life as a person and as a football player...his timing was not good here...but I am glad he is on this team as the back up.
I like redemption stories...I wish the best for him.

I was one of the first people to call out Steve
Fairchild as the worst we have had and last night
was proof of that. Turk did more with less..I loved
the mis direction calls (Although they did not work).
I love the runs to the outside...good mix of pass and
run and the runs were unpredictable. Hats off.

This was aslo true last week with trent and pittsburg
    ....although hardy helped....keep d's honest.

Jp did more with was essentially less
as far as a roster goes for 2007.
This was minus J Peters I might add.

If this system we have get rid of the ball quik we
may not need J Peters and his cap #. Dont think
the front office did not see that game last night
and Dwight Freeny muted. Having said that we
need to pick up some help via cuts or a trade.

I am having a hard time picking between omon and wright.

    Mclovin is struggling.

    Fred Jackson is a stud.

    Deffense was very vanilla.....and
still has a problem with the run...I
    will blame pre season.

I dont know if we will be bad or good this year.

Since we lost a few games by 3 pts or less I think between Mcloving returning kicks....Turk, hardy, stroud, mitchel, poz back with others...
we win a few more game then we did last year injuries aside. One
more year might do the trick however.

I'm sold on JP as a back up or not worried if Trent should go down.

Now it's time to get the starters butt on the field and do some damage.

        Re: Game.

I'd like to see our offense with Hardy, Parrish and Edwards back. We'll have some weapons for Turk to use.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Besides McKelvins one mistake I thought he played pretty well.

Deon seemed to like him a lot too.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Mckelvin is not struggling at all. On that touchdown he had good inside position and coverage he just mis-timed his jump to deflect or intercept the pass. Other than that he was with his man all game and had good coverage down field and in the slot.

I only knnow of Trents injury and suspect that he should be ready for the next preseason game especially since JP's thumb was on ice.

So other then giving up theTD he was fine?

I'm glad that the first time he screwed up like that was in preseason. It happens to the best and hope he learns from it.

If Schonert makes JP play the game like he did last night, instead of blindly chucking the ball, than I 100% agree that JP is a great backup for this team.

That's the best I've seen JP look in a long, long time. He played smart which is by far my biggest ***** with him.

I don't know why this guy can't throw a simple screen pass though. That's my second biggest *****. That pass to Barnes was awful.

                      .
Based on whats been happening and whats been said about the qbs not being allowed to play their game under Fairchild. I suspect that it was Fairchilds fault . Jp has sure looked smart in all his 3 preseason games.

Just because he screwed up for that Barnes pass doesn't mean he can't throw them. He's been doing so much better in his short game -ball control passes that you would think he never had a problem before.

The Bills could have once again a good QB starter and back up like Kelly with Reich.

I dont think he is ready to start either. Im just talking about his coverage. He was with his man all game even on that touchdown he had good coverage he just mistimed his leap. If he had gotten a piece of that or picked it off they would have all been saying how great a game he had because other than that play he had good coverage all day.
