Same Helmets = Stupid Marketing Move

It's unbelievable to me that the Bills kept the same color helmet basically (OK they added a stripe), and the same logo.
The amount of sales they passed up by doing this almost negates the fact that they did anything.
I was going to buy a new hat or two, but I was waiting for the new logo and new colors before I did. What's the point of buying a hat now? The logo is identical, essentially the colors are the same. Talk about lost opportunities. I call it real stupid. The amount of potential sales they lost by being so timid, and obviously hiring someone that couldn't create a decent logo, is staggering. I'll keep my old hats, there's no point in buying the same hat again.

I think that the crappy B logo was going to be the logo and then they read and heard what the fans said and Ralph didnt like it, so it got thrown away! :D

I really do believe that! The whole purpose of this exercise was allegedly to sell more licensed merch., and while the new jerseys will provide a nice enough boost, they're not going to change things too dramatically on the sales-side. That God awful "B" logo has to have been intended for the helmets, but s---canned when some of the marketing geniuses got the feedback on it-- which is why it never saw the light of day at all.

I'd like to think that the Bills just put good-sense above money, but I know better.

They didn't have to change the logo, but what would have looked awesome that no one else has, is metalic red helmets w/ the same logo. That would have changed the helmet somewhat.

Perhaps make the red a tad darker and then metallic. IMO that would have looked sharp!

Absolutely, Wys. Like a red version of Ohio States paint job. I really thought that would be the direction they went. It's a perfect solution--updating the helmet without changing it too much. Maybe next year.

Dark blue helmets like jerseys. New modernized red standing buffalo. That's the way to go.

They should have ditched the lighter blue throughout the unis. There are too many stripes on the helmet. It looks stupid. They should have made the Buffalo the darker blue and had one dark blue stripe down the middle.

Am I the only one who actually LIKES the Sabres Buffalo? Seems like people always call it "the angry goat".
And another thing I think I think (as Peter King would say), The Destroyers uni's are better looking than 90% of the uni's in the NFL, and I'm not sure the Bills would be incl. in the other 10%.

I agree WagonCircler. I like the Sabres jerseys they way they are now...of course I didn't follow hockey until their first season with them. But I HATE the red jersey. And the Destroyers unis ROCK!!
