Who's our knockout guy, that the other teams players are thinking about,
who to avoid, I love those kinds of players, they'll take your head off!

Whitner has a reputation as a hard hitter, but I'm not sure anybody else has really gotten to that point yet. We've got a lot of speedy, quick to the ball guys, not a lot of really hard tacklers though.

i think pos will prove to be, although he hasnt had too much of a chance yet... we know whitner throws his body into everything.. and mitchell has laid the lumber plenty in his career.

Main one is Whitner. But other wrap up tacklers who can throw you around are Mitchell and Pos. Whitner is a, your comming down the field and wham. Your out. Mitchell and Pos are the type that if they grab you, they will throw you and plant your face in the turf.

No one leaps to mind, but i'm eager to see what Poz can do this season.

Donte gets my vote, Simpson finishes at 2nd.

Whitner for sure but DBs usually have the chance to look like bigger hitters cause they knock out vulnerable WRs.

Crowell and Kelsay have had some really big knocks. Poz has in college but unfortunately didn't get much chance to show it last year.

I think VEEK is is going to wreak havoc, and he's got Brady's number!
The POZ I'm rooting for, he needs to get mean on Sundays!
And Whitner is the guy to 'JACK UP' the WR's, remember WINFIELD?
He was great, I didn't want to see him go.

I'd go with Crowell.

On the team, Barnes. On the D, I'm gonna go with Whitner. Romes pointed out a good "why", but it still "is".

I'd say Crowell. He can hit.

Defense: Keith Ellison
Offense: Melvin Fowler

Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

Terrence McGee injured two recievers last year - why doesn't he get any credit?

Chad Johnson and one of the Jets recievers (Crotchery I think it was)

I miss winfield - I remember seeing him flip Wychek head over heels in week one after the Homerunrobthebills game.

I agree, although watching Poz take down the 280 lb. Lorenzen makes me think that Poz could give Whitner a run for his money this season on the "D".

Barnes is definitely the biggest hitter on the team right now. He has laid some serious lumber on a couple of occasions this preseason. I think the way that he has been hitting people could have a positive impact on the rest of the team by setting an example for them to follow: something that I don't think would be a bad idea for a team that has play more of a "finesse" game and not shown itself to be a really big hitting, physical team thus far.

Why are so many people naming Whitner?

He has a reputation from COLLEGE, but through two years in the NFL his ONLY big hit was on Chad Johnson.

I defy anyone to find video of a big Whitner hit other than the one on Johnson (from the NFL, not college).

I could also add Terence Mcgee to the list.

We really dont have any big hitters on this D, its built on speed and getting to the ball not laying guys out. Mitchell maybe our biggest hitter but I wouldnt really label him like that. Even Whitner wasn't a huge hitter at OSU either.

I will take John Wendling as equal to Whitner

Pound for pound, probably Whitner, but his size relative to the guys in front of him is a built in disadvantage in that kind of comparison. I'll put in a vot for Kawika Mitchel.

Poz, or Mitchell, both can bring it

I defy anyone to find video of a big Whitner hit other than the one on Johnson (from the NFL, not college).I gave it to him basically by default. I think he is solid, but the one hit you referred to gives him 1 more then anyone else (although I remember a few others).

So let me ask you, can you find a video of anyone on the team hitting a player in the NFL other then that one?

Barnes by a mile.

Barnes is definitely in the conversation. One usually doesn't think of an offensive player in that category, but it's certainly appropriate for Barnes.
