Edwards Doubtful Tonight

Just heard on radio, and I think its in the Bflo News this morning. Hes only played in 4 series this preseason; but I agree one billion percent that he shouldnt play tonight either.

Man this is a tough call. If he's healthy (the D&C reported that he's good to go with some discomfort) then I would have a tough time keeping him off the field. Hell, keep the o-line in max protect and call the quick, short plays just to get him the live reps. He needs the work since, like you pointed out Pat, he's only had 4 series in the preseason...

Having said that though I wouldn't blame the Bills for holding him out. There is a definite flip side in that you cannot risk an injury holding him out against the Seahawks. Like I said...tough call...

I'm ok with him playing the first qt just to get back in the swing of it. But Jauron isn't going to announce who's in or out until game time..so how can they say he's doubtful. Plus Even Trent says he's feeling fine.

They said he still had a "protective" limp as late as yesterday. Sit him, we need him 100% healthy for week 1.

That's fine, i dont want him to play in this game and get even more hurt and have JP come in(not trying to start up anything) I just want our starter in for Week 1 when it really matters.

Walker won't play tonight. I certainly don't want Edwards playing a pre-season game with a rookie 7th round draft pick protecting his blindside. Regadless of the fact that Bell has played well.
