Russ Brandon on Sirrius about Peters...

Uhh, it's apparant that the Bills are not taking Peter's phone calls, not the other way around.

Just heard this sound bite on Sirrius this AM!!!

When asked if the Bills had talked to Peters, Brandon's response was "there is nothing to talk about" and "we expect him to play out his contract".

Give the guy a frickin bonus to show up. Geez. This is exactly why we will continue to be bottom dwellars.

I recant my thought from yesterday. I think he's sitting out until week 10. Matter-of-fact I'm not sure he's wearing a Bills uni again.

Yes, I am sure that is what it is. I am sure that every media report and all of the players comments have been lies.

How does that mean the Bills aren't taking his calls?

Sorry man you are wrong. Agents have already said the Bills are doing it the right way. Glad to see your tenth thread on this though...lol

Did they say Russ wasn't taking his call or that you came to the conclusion that they weren't from "there is nothing to talk about"

How many reports did you hear where the Bills hadn't heard from Peters??

Obviously, they have. Brandon would say "haven't heard from him" and avoid the issue all together.

That's why I posted it. It's news bad or good.

Most of the things said at this point to the media is just poker playing between management and agent/player seeing who will blink first. I don't buy what anyone says publicly.

I don't care if the Bills are taking Peters' calls or not. He is under contract for 3 more years and should be with the team, not calling them.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Blame this on Peters all you want.

The fact of the matter is that he's a greedy son of a ***** that doesn't give a **** about his teammates and the possibility of making the playoffs.

I've lost a TON of respect for that guy. If/when he makes it back to the Bills, he owes the fans a big time apology.

Peters needs to show up & play, which will mean even more $$ after this year. A contract with 3 years left gives him zero leverage now and no team would cave, contrary to the realists. His agent Parker, is nuts. He's getting killed in the press for a bad move.

If he's still not here in a few weeks, trade him for a #1 next year since he's useless for us in 2008. We'll draft a couple OT's and move on.

I agree that I hate the situation and the way Peters is handling it.

I just think that another organization would be handling this alot better. If Peters doesn't show up it makes the Bills look just as incompetant as Peters.
