Seattle down 3 WRs against Bills

Deion Branch is still recovering from reconstrcutive knee surgery, Bobby Engram is out into October with a broken shoulder, and now Ben Obomanu has a broken clavicle.

That leaves an undrafted rookie (Micheal Bumpus) at the receiving helm along with an ex Oregon basketball player, Jordan Kent and either practice squad extrodinaire Logan Payne or Courtney Taylor.

Usually injuries like these can sometimes produce the next NFL wonder boy, but the chances or all 3 replacements making a name for themselves is very low.

Poz, Stroud and company are going to have their hands full as I can almost guarantee Holmgreen will be opening the season on the ground. The Bills can expect to see a running trifecta in Maurice Morris, Julius Jones and TJ Duckett.

    Isn't Burleson still playing?

well i guess that makes the game that much more easier. i like our chances on the ground with our "d". still coming out with the win regardless of who starts for them .

It's still a tough game.. Seattle has maybe the best LB corp in the NFL, and are solid all around on defense.

Hasselbeck will find a way to get points on the board. we'll have to bring our A game to beat Seattle.

Seattle has had a good team for a while now, I'll be suprised if we win by 10 points or more. I feel our week 2 game in the JAX heat is going to be a nail biter, they had a good team last season and look pretty stout on D.

its gonna be a close game, but there cant be any excuses since seattle is so banged up. if we can get some solid o-line play to replace peters we should win the game.

Re: Seattle down 3 WRs against Bills

The story of this game is Seattle's pass rush swarming a line without Peters. If the Bills don't have an answer for that, everything else is trivia.

Seattle will come out running guaranteed...Look for a lot of screen passes and 2 back sets...What a huge first quarter test for our D-line..If Stroud and Co. shuts the run down in the first quarter, we win by 10...

This will give us a idea what team we should expect in 2008 a playoff team or a average out of the playoffs team! This could be the year we get back in!

I wouldn't take seattle lightly regardless. They could very well come in and give this team a ***** slap leaving them dumbfounded.

I have no idea why anyone would take Seattle lightly but a lot seem to think this is a game we have in the bag. Seattle is a good club.
