SC's Official "Bring Him In!" Thread

I really think the Bills roster is set except for two areas; OL depth and at TE. If anyone else has others to list, feel free to add them in here. Here's the start of my list:

    TE Justin Peelle- MIA
    C Mike Flynn- NE
    G Kynan Forney- ATL
    OT Chad Slaughter- BAL
    TE Keith Heinrich- BAL
Remember Kevin Everett in your thoughts.

Hobson doesn't seem like a very good fit for the Bills defense. He is big and slow, and your LB are small and fast.

Nece makes more sense, especially given his experience in the Tampa-2.

One name I was intrigued by was Kris Wilson, who was cut by Philly. He was a TE/FB/HB in KC, and has the tools to be a good receiver. He isn't a pure TE, but as a TE/FB hybrid he may be decent.

Willie Anderson will probably attract a lot of interest, if healthy. Every team in the NFL is looking for help at OT and TE.

I'd bring Hobson in a second! Our backup LBs suck ass and wouldn't even be on another NFL roster...!

                            Kris Wilson? Seriously?

We already had a guy who had all the physical tools and potential this offseason who is/was a tight end.

Teyo Johnson. If we cut him what a month ago or more, why would we bring in another guy who's all fluff and no stuff.

Not too mention we're not employing the H back anymore and have gone back to a true FB.

                            A couple names I noticed...

                            Deltha O'Neil CB
                            Ashley Lelie WR
                            Ahmad Brooks LB
                            Kelly Butler OT - depth

Two guys for the practice sqaud...
                            Marcus Monk WR
                            Dre Moore DT

Also NE, what do you think of the Pats cutting Fernando Bryant? Know why they did? Kinda surprising to hear after he was supposed to replace Asante.

I was surprised as well, just because they are so thin at the position. Basically, it means Terrence Wheatley (the rookie) will start.

The thing that probably led to his being cut is how he shies away from contact. He was a timid tackler this camp.

The way they cut the roster makes me wonder if something else is going to happen with them. Maybe a signing of Ty Law or a trade.

They kept as many as 9 WR. Granted, 2 of them also work at S (Ray Ventrone and Matt Slater) and a couple more are there for ST purposes (Sam Aiken and Kelley Washington), but that is still crazy. They kept only 4 CB and 8 OL (although they have 2 more OL eligible to return after week 6). Also, they were able to keep an extra guy because Kevin Faulk doesn't count towards the 53 until week 2. With all that said, there are still 9 guys they kept who worked at WR during the preseason. As much as they like to spread the field, that is still pretty unbalanced.

BTW, the difference between Teyo Johnson and Kris Wilson is that Wilson was able to stick in the league for 4 years with KC. His last year there he played primarily fullback. I hear what you are saying about not being a good fit for the offense, because I think that is what did him in in Philly as well.
