USC 5th ????

Yep

New QB, New TE, 4 new OL, no #1 RB.

Overrated players like Taylor Mays, Vidal Hazelton, and Brian Cushing.

There's probably 25 or so players on that team right now that will play in the NFL.

25 may be pushing it

That's his opinion on USC. Why argue it

Because it's a football fan site.
And 25 isn't pushing it, approx. 6 players per class. And why are you arguing that with me ?

He gave his reasoning, wasn't that good enough?

I guess I see your point about 25 guys. Then again, I guess most teams in the top 10 have that amount as well

That doesn't really mean much considering whose in front of them. They may get 25 NFL players but I don't know how many stars they'll get out of that. Im not impressed by a Pac-10 team that's ranking is based more on reputation than actually beating people. After Ohio State and Oregon then we can talk again.

I don't think USC is a bad team by any means, I think they are a top 5 team but the coaches and AP giving them the #1 ranking this week was a joke imo.

Someone has to be #1. The four teams you have in front of them didn't play anyone of note either.
I guess we will see Sept. 13th when Ohio St. heads to Calif.

The four teams in front of them also have more of their team returning from last year including their QB's, the majority of their OL's, and aside from OSU play in more difficult conferences.

I'll give you the returning qb point, although Boeckman for OSU sucks and will be the guy to cost them eventually. Pryor is the wildcard. We'll have to see how fast Tressel brings him along. Sanchez is a first year starter but will have a chance to play on Sunday's.
Georgia has some o-line issues.

Georgia lost Trinton Sturdivant, but still has guys like Boling, Davis, Tripp, and Vance who played extensively last year.

Two new starters going in, and with Sturdivant {left tackle} going down that makes three. Line is also very young. But it is still Georgia so I would think the talent is there.

Two starters who took over for Seniors from last year both players are Sophmores and played alot as Freshman, and with Sturdivant going down they will rotating him between Clint Boling and Justin Anderson (Soph and Freshman). Boling played a lot as a Freshman, and Josh Davis will take over at RG. At least thats what is rumored to happen, Boling was suspended for the game v. Georgia Southern, so we'll have to wait and see on Saturday.

Beating an overrated OSU team does not prove that. Their matchup with Oregon will be huge, and they always seem to have one game in the Pac 10 where they play down to their competition.
