View Full Version : BZ Tailgate and Hannah Contingency Plan

Pride

The forecast still looks good for Sunday... and hopefully Hannah moves east of us... but just in case, I feel it is good to be prepared for the "What If" of Hannah landing on top of Buffalo Sunday morning.

I have a 12x12 ft tent. Does anyone else have any tents to bring and use? Can we bungee a tarp between 2 SUV's?

If you have ideas or offers.. post them here to see what we have for "Just in case"

I'm actually looking into buying a tent for the BillsZone tailgates this season. It's something we definitely could have used last year and after suffering in the rain for a ****ing pre-season game last week, I decided that it's about time we get ourselves one.

I just hope Hannah doesn't keep me from watching it on TV. Storms that big usually knock out my satellite or at least my HD channels, and it looks like the storm is coming through just in time to ruin both the Notre Dame game and the Bills game.

I've got a huge canopy I can bring along if you want. I don't remember the dimensions off hand but I can check tonight when I get home. It's very easy to set up also.

no, I'm worried about not being able to watch the games at all. I'd rather be wet at the stadium then at home dry with no signal.

IMHO..... really dont think you guys have much to worry about. by the time it gets that far up north it will be just a low pressure system. the way the jet stream is this year it will be farther east then you think. i predict no rain all weekend. maybe overcast for saturday half of the day and nothing but clear skies for sunday. :dance3:

question: how will you guys hold those tents down in the wind? Stakes don't work too well on concrete/gravel.

BAM

If it gets too windy we'll just tie them to surrounding vehicles I guess.

Or whoever's passed out on the ground.

i think you will have to worry more about the wind then the guys up north. the app. mountains are going to destroy that storm if it even makes landfall. if anything i see it grazing north carolina maybe here at va beach but thats it

I hope you're right. Work is gonna **** up my football watching enough this weekend- I don't need a storm making it worse.

Many of the Hurricanes continue on up threw our area. Of course they are no longer Hurricanes but just cause real crappy rainy weather.

Record we are all set.

Ranking from where? I would say BCS rankings but neither team might be in it. Or do we call a push if that happens?

Yes, I thought I already answered this in one of the other threads. My wife could care less about football and between her getting most of her business on weekends and the added expense for her to fly up too, it's not really worth it.
