Per kffl.com...

WEEI 850AM Sports Radio in Boston reports sources have indicated that New England Patriots (http://www.kffl.com/team/24/nfl) quarterback Tom Brady (http://www.kffl.com/player/1181/nfl) (foot) has a cracked bone in his foot. Brady is still expected to play Sunday, Sept. 7.

Think this foot thing could get worse and eventually be the undoing of the Pats? I tell ya what, the Pats look more and more mortal the more I hear about Brady and his injury problems.

I hope so, I feel absolutely no remorse for the pats anything and every thing bad that could possibly happen to them is simply Karma coming back to bite them in the @$$.

I wouldn't put it past them to lie about his injury in order to mess with the media and fans.

i'll just say this now, but if he goes on and has an incredible year, you know that they'll just say "TOM BRADY MVP WITH A BROKEN FOOT!!!" 10,000 times. I'm not sure i can handle that.

Note to opponents: grab, step on and roll on his foot as many times as possible. What goes around, comes around.

But, chances are he'll have off-season surgery to repair it and will come back stronger and faster because the tendon is tighter (or some movie feel-good BS like that). That's just how the Patriots' luck goes.

He'll be Bionic Brady with a robotic foot.

I do too. But I suspect it may be an intentional diversion from a real injury on his knee or something.

It doesn't make sense that they would let everyone know that he has a cracked bone in his foot. That's like painting a bullseye on it for the other teams.

Is this going to be like his elbow thing in years past where he is listed Questionable by Bellicheat every week?

His official designation on today's injury report:

Full participation in practice: QB Tom Brady (Rt. shoulder/foot).

With the way the Pats give out injury information, it isn't even certain Brady has a foot. However, because of that it leads to all sorts of speculation such as this "News". That is all it is, speculation.

I don't know if Brady has a bruise or broken foot, but I know he is practicing and will play this Sunday. Nothing else really is known.

Anybody want to hazard to guess how many bones in the human foot?

Many of them are not weight bearing. If he is practicing it isn't an issue.

I believe there are like 8 or 9 tarsals? I used to be able to name them, but now I am dumb.

Very good. There are 7 tarsal bones along with 5 metatarsals and 14 phalanges.

"There are 26 bones in the human foot (28 if you include the sesamoid bones at the base of the big toe). These are: the Talus, which connects to the tibia at the ankle; the Calcaneus, which forms the heel; the Navicular, Cuboid, and three Cuneiforms (Medial, Intermediate, and Lateral), which form the middle of the foot; the five Metatarsals, which radiate out to the toes; and 14 Phalanges (2-3-3-3-3), which form the toes."

Shaun Alexander was never the same after cracking a bone in his foot but then again he is a RB and not a QB. It could still have an affect on his mobility in the pocket though.
