After doing some rudimentary lookin' at the Bills... and in the process realizing I know very little about them... I have come up with an early prediction.
Edwards has been all over the map, lousy in one game and great in another, but has been banged up. His WR's are not big and will not cause our smallish CB's any issue, and they don't appear to have much depth at WR to take advantage of Babs sitting on the bench.
The Bills will have to rely on their running game, but they are having major issues at tackle with usual LT Jason Peters holding out. Marshawn has not had much room. Also, their RT is subbing at LT, and is apparently not good against speed rushers. Hello, Tapp.
Defensively the Bills are all about tackle, and the addition of Stroud will certainly help. They don't appear to have much of a pass rush, however.
The result? In my opinion, with their issues at tackle and smaller WR's, we should be able to keep them to around 14 points tops. Their defense is tough, and they are at home, so our newly-forming, WR-short offence is got a rough one ahead of them. But at least we are playing in the summer!
Special teams I don't have enough info on. But with Mare around I see a few touchbacks, despite the swirling winds in Buffalo, negating their quality return game.
Final score?
Hawks 20
Bills 9
Without much of a Bills' pass rush, Hass will have time enough to spread the ball around. I guess 220 yards. Jones and Mo will combine for 80-90 yards and a TD. I also see at least two Edwards INT's, probably as a result of zone blitzes.
Whew!
Also, everyone agreed. LOL.
1st, the only bad game Trent had, he played in 6 snaps. Most were not his fault. No matter who are 4th is, they are probably going to be the best 4th reciever in the NFL. Name one team that has a Reed or Parrish as there 4th reciever. Short WRs, LOL. 3 are above 6'1. Jenkins is 6'2, Hardy is 6'6, and Johnson is 6-3 if I recall. They arent short at all. ST, we have played Mare more than 8 times, we all know he wont kick it in the endzone a bunch, even with lots of wind.
