    Good ol' Dick Jauron

Guys I have to say that I'm impressed with Dick Jauron. I really hope he can lead us to the playoffs this year and everyone can rejoice!!

If things don't pan out however, I will still respect him as a very admirable person, even if he never becomes a great head football coach.

Jauron is a very intelligent person and always answers every question truthfully and in great detail. He always respects his opponents as well as his own players and is quick to give credit where credit is due. He always is very tactful.

In his presser when talking about Langston Walker, he twice used the word unselfish to describe him. You could see he was very genuine and very thankful about it too.

I just think Jauron sets a great example for the team.

I agree. I have no problem with Jauron, especially now that Turk is here to help.
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

Jauron is the best coach we've had here since Wade. We will see soon enough what his ceiling really is because now he has a real NFL roster.

Marv picked him... and I have to trust Marvs choices... he's done this franchise good, and his mold is building the team in front of us this Sunday... I like our team

I'll be impressed with Jauron when he gets results.

Having respect and being genuine are good qualities, but meaningless if they don't get wins.

As a Coach the jury is still out... though I am hopeful.
As a Man and Mentor... I believe he is great!

I'd suggest becoming a Patriots fan. Then you could throw things like morals and respect out the window in favor of winning.

That's a joke of an analogy.

Try the Steelers. They do things the right way and they win consistently. Tony Dungy and the Colts. If Tony Dungy didn't have wins, he wouldn't be in Indy long at all.

that's a faulty conclusion if I ever saw one.

Morals/respect and winning are not mutually exclusive. Football coaches should have both. Bellicheck fails in respect and morals, Jauron fails at winning.

Well, maybe he should start cheating. If Billicheck had the morals he probably wouldn't have as much winning. Of course the two aren't mutually exclusion, just look at Tony Dungy. Great guy and great coach.

                        That's what I'm talking about:
                        Bill Cowher
                        Mike Tomlin
                        Tony Dungy
                        Lovie Smith
                        Marty Schottenheimer
back in the day, Marv Levy, Don Schula, Joe Gibbs

NE sacrificed morals to win. We sacrificed winning to have morals. We shouldn't have to do do either one.

Or to put it more simply, it's one thing to respect Jauron as a person. It's another thing to respect his coaching abilities, because so far he hasn't earned it.

If he doesn't start winning NOW, he'll be the NFL's Jimmy Carter: great human being but terrible as the man in charge.

I think Dick is a great motivator. His players tends to play hard for him.

Whether he knows his X's and O's enough to play chess against the top coaches in the league , the jury is still out.

He's got the chess pieces now. Lets see if he can play and actually win.

The difference is Bill will probably will never change and Jauron has a chance to start winning. I'm not giving Jauron a free ticket either. Although, I think he's coached some piss poor talent teams, this year is probably the most talented team he's had as of yet.

It's year 3 of the rebuild and I expect to see some solid results this year. We better either make the playoffs or just miss it with no less then 9-10 wins... although Donte's guarantee has swayed my expectations more towards making the playoffs.
