War Room analysis
Strengths: Is a good all-around athlete. Shows great quickness. Changes directions well. Hips are fluid. Shows good burst both in and out of breaks. Works best in short-area coverage. Is physical and aggressive. Excels at pressing receivers. Has adequate speed to turn and run. Is also an outstanding punt returner.

Weaknesses: Level of competition is a big concern, both as a corner and return specialist. Is short; will have trouble matching up outside in the NFL. Lacks great size and strength. Won't get away with pressing bigger receivers in the NFL like he did in college. Lacks great top-end speed on returns.

Bottom line: McGee is a late-round prospect primarily because of his great return game rather than his coverage skills. He has a legitimate chance of making an NFL team as a sub-package defensive back and punt returner, but his size will limit him at corner.

He had 3 int. 3 forced fumbles 3 blocked punts and averaged 22 yards per punt return! That's a special teams ace. He will contribute somehow no doubt. The guy makes plays. Go Bills!

I dont like that he said he was a sleep in his bed when he got picked and someone had to call him to tell him that he got drafted. He said he didn't think he would get picked until the 7th round.

In comments made by McGee on Buffalo Bills.com, he claimed to have run a 4.4 in a workout with the Bills. I think with these relative unknowns from smaller schools the size and performance figures are all over the map even more than with better known guys from major schools. Remember, McGee went to Northwestern State, not Northwestern University.

At this point, I'm having to trust that the Bills have done a lot of research that we aren't privy to in order to make these selections. It doesn't bother me too much that ESPN says he would be a late pick. Watching the draft there were a bunch the pundits thought would go high who slipped several rounds before they were chosen, and other guys (Bethel Johnson) who went far earlier than predicted. The Bills draft didn't go the way I expected or hoped, and I think a lot of you feel the same way. It will be interesting to see four months and then a year from now whether we'll stil be saying the same things or congratulating the Bills because they know more than we do.
