View Full Version : Bills May Be Potentiall Fined by the NFL???

If Crowell gets a second opinion and that doctor says he doesn't need a scope then the Bills just violated NFL rules. I think we might be subject to draft pick forfiture.

This is getting more and more ****ed.

Can anyone confirm this? It seems legit.

Buffalobills.com message board.

It makes sense, though. If Crowell gets the second opinion (he must be PISSED that hes on IR) and the doctors clear him to play, and the Bills already put him on IR, that HAS to violate some NFL player policy.

if this happens, Russ Brandon should be fired tommorow.

This is getting embarrassing the more the news comes out.

I'd like to think our leaders are smarter than that which is why I think they know more than they're letting on. Just my opinion. I would be shocked if they were that stupid.

It could be anger and not straight stupidity.

Then wouldn't have Poz done the same last year. A broken arm isn't season ending, he even said so himself.

I dont know the rules, but when someone tells you they are getting surgery, and you make roster changes based on that such as putting him on the IR, and then they change their mind, how is that our fault?

The thing is Crowell is the one that wanted to get his knee scoped right before the season. That is why the front office put him on I.R. Got to teach non team players a lesson!

Yeah but you dont put someone on IR when there is not sufficient reason to do so. NFL teams can't just throw players on IR without medical reasons backing the decision to do so. If Crowell didn't have surgery and he's physically able to play, the Bills violated an NFL rule.

so he didn't have surgery yesterday? If he did, there is no case.

People forget...if they really wanted to punish Crowell they would have cut him (remember TD cutting Steve Christie the night before the opener so his salary wouldn't count against the cap?). He gets his full salary for being on IR. It might hurt him in FA next year but he gets his money now. By cutting him they would have owed him nothing.

Hey, no problem. But this is purely speculation.

Why poor AC? He had to agree to be put on IR before they could do it.

POZ was out even if he wasnt on IR until the final two games. He would've missed 11 weeks so it made sense to IR him.

By all accounts, Crowell would only miss 2-4 games max with this procedure.

They couldn't cut him without paying him. He already made the 53 man roster.
