As the 2008 National Football League (http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/related_content.html?topic=National%20Football%20League) season begins, the Buffalo Bills (http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/related_content.html?topic=Buffalo%20Bills) once again rank last in one category: ticket prices.
According to the annual “Fan Cost Index” published by Team Marketing Report (http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/related_content.html?topic=Team%20Marketing%20Report), the Bills have the league’s cheapest costs — at least for a game at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Even with a 10.3 percent price hike, the Bills average ticket cost of $51.24 is lowest among the NFL’s 32 teams, and less than half that of the New England Patriots (http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/related_content.html?topic=New%20England%20Patriots). Buffalo’s AFC East Division rival has an average ticket charge of $117.84, up nearly 30 percent from a season ago.
