ANALYSIS
Positives: Has good lateral agility and explosion off the snap … Shows body control and strength with the ability to stack at the point of attack and split double teams … Has the vision to recognize the plays developing … Uses his hands well to shed and has the lateral quickness to flatten to the quarterback … Solid hit-and-wrap tackler with effective swim, spin and rips moves to get a good push upfield on the pass rush … Plays well working in-line, playing with leverage … Has the ability to get into the backfield and disrupt plays.
Negatives: Flashes good quickness in the short area, but lacks top-end speed … Needs reps to learn the plays, but is coachable … His only problem with the coaches was they had to stay on him to rehabilitate, as he's had a series of nagging minor injuries throughout his career … While he is a good wrapup tackler, he tends to lunge and dive to make the plays working in space … Needs to be pushed to work in the weight room, but has increased his bench press 20 pounds in the last six months … At times, he will get locked on to the blocker and struggle to disengage.
