View Full Version : Does Peters get his starting job back?

Peters and his agent assumed that not only would the Bills go to pieces without him, but that Peters was irreplaceable. But so far our O-line did great against a good Seattle pass rush. So if you are Jauron, do you rush to get Peters back in, or do you stick with what you have as long as you're winning?

In the NFL, you don't give someone else the chance to take your job. Slick move, Parker.

Peters gets his job back. Chambers isn't the second coming.

you don't sit an all-pro LT if he's ready to play

When Peters is physically ready to contribute, not hinder, he will assume the LT position. I would suspect WK3 at home.

He'll have to earn it back but that'll be no problem for him.

Buffalo Bills (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/buf/;_ylt=Ak9BeVESUlS.d8SXMGhaZKEdsLYF) Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7122/;_ylt=AvW2yVg4sSr6SQrouf5kCPIdsLYF) has passed his physical and will begin practicing with the team this week after ending his long contractual holdout on Saturday. “He’s ready to go,” coach Dick Jauron said following Buffalo’s 34-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sea/;_ylt=AuysVxL.e6CmbIpLOLjUB80dsLYF) on Sunday. “We just have to see how long it takes him to get into football shape.”

I'd expect to see Peters starting week 4....Probably will take a couple weeks to get into football shape.

Start Reich...oh wait...I just had a flash back from 20 years ago.

Uhhh, the Bills didn't excatly look awesome when the line had to block for the run. Peters is the starter, end of the debate. The line played admirably, and I give Chambers major points for doing a great job.

I'm not ready to declare the line fine without Peters. Trent had a smaller pocket frequently, and his pocket presence made the line look better IMO. I also thought Chambers got away with a bit of holding.

Dumb question....

Chambers belongs in the NFL as a starter, no question about it in my mind.

When Peters is ready he goes back to LT and Walker back to RT no questions about it. I just hope it doesn't take Peters long to get back into "game shape".

like you said peters will have to prove he is fit enough but I think we will not see him starting until game 4

Of course Peters gets his job back. He's 1 of the best left tackles in the league.

Best 5 lineman will suit up to start. He does not just get the job handed to him.

If Peters is one of the best OT's we have, he should be in there. If he can't beat Chambers out of a job, he should be on the bench.

I don't expect him to play next week (Bills have a 2 week roster exemption for him, so they can carry one more player than normal), but I think he will work hard to be the starter in week 3.
