Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres will bring back their original road jersey — the blue design with the round "cross-sword" logo on the front, and the three gold stripes on the arms and the bottom of the jersey. It’s the uniform the Sabres’ first GM/coach, George (Punch) Imlach, requested; a design similar to that which Imlach's Maple Leafs had from the 1967 playoffs through 1969-70. And, it’s the jersey Buffalo wore during road games from the beginning of the franchise in 1970-71 to the end of the 1995-96 season. Beginning in 1996-97, the Sabres switched to a black, red and white uniform, and completely redesigned their logo. Another redesign occurred prior to the 2006-07 campaign, with the team returning to its blue and gold color scheme.

If this is the new 3rd jersey, I will definitely shell out the money for one. I also love that they are finally including the laces for the neck. It looks sweet. My only complaint is the idiotic striping on the side, but I can live with it. :drool:

everthing I've read so far, is that people now don't like the two colors the midnight blue of the new :gosabres: and the logo with the light blue that is in the background of the :oldskool: logo. and the silver piping that runs along the sides ruins the blue 1970's :oldskool:

when they changed the jersey to a darker shade of blue...they should have also changed the background of the :oldskool: logo to a darker blue to match. It looks like the Bills helmet where they tried to keep the original blue for the logo, but they should have just made it all navy blue.

these are the blank ones without name or # if you want one with name & # you will have to order it. I was at the jersey unveiling for the :gosabres: they had a rack like you would see at a department store with blank on them and if you wanted to order one with name & # you had to pre-order it.

Fans will be able to pre-order the new jersey at a kiosk in the Sabres Store.

just got a phone call from my uncle (he's a photography professor Utica, NY college he's got a website www.properproof.com) and he told me the reason why the blue in the background of the logo is light blue while the jersey is midnight blue is beacuse of this...

the light reflects differently At certain angles, the logo appeared darker than the jersey. The past two logos are light colored, so there isn't as much of a difference. The dark material in the new logo is more reflective, so at times it could appear like it doesn't match, when in all actuality it does.

It makes sense, it could have been a blank jersey and somebody decided that they would add the "old" lighter logo to complete the look of the jersey. I'm not saying I'm right, but it sure looks like that logo was added and is not actually sewn on...it looks like graphic.

It's NHL 08, there's these little things for the PC that's called addons to make the game realistic (this is only for the PC no other sysytem.) fans create jerseys, goalie equipment, players faces, arenas, etc. you just need two things NHL view and BH import. you download the file and then unzip it and save it to your EASports NHL08 or 09 main folder and run .bat that comes with the addon this is how you install the addons and then this is the most important part YOU MUST RUN BH IMPORT TO GET THE ADDONS ON NHL08-09
