All the top 10 plays of the weekend I have seen had Roscoe's punt return #1. I believe ESPN did too. Until today when they rated Brett Favre's TD pass #1. I think they changed it.

I liked Brett Favre. ESPN has already made me despise him.

Flavor of the month.

The sports media does it. The regular media does it.

It's a combination of laziness and "infotainment"- the need to attract viewers to make money rather than inform them. They stick with what's hot and beat it into the ground.

The problem with sports is that it often lasts the WHOLE season. ESPN is one of the worst culprits- think Bruschi.

I was on the ESPN bandwagon for a long time, but that network has gone SERIOUSLY downhill.

Not to worry. Brett Favre season will turn into LeBron James season in a couple of months.

Media darling Farve in a major market like New York = All Brett All the Time on ESPN. I'm surprised they do not get him a half hour show.

He already has an hour show. It's called "Sportscenter".
