New format this year.. moving away from wmv to h264, which is what Blu-ray discs are encoded in. I experimented with mp4 a while back - if you were able to play them, these should play as well.
Footage is captured in HD this year for the first time, so it will look noticeably clearer.. if it doesn't, I'd make an appt with the optometrist..
h264 requires a lot more horsepower than older codecs like wmv, divx, xvid.. these videos are sized down enough that it shouldn't be an issue, but if you notice the playback is jumpy, that's probably the reason.
** If your default player will not play the file at all, you'll need to do one of the following **
1a> Change the file extension to avi - I had to change it to mp4 for IE to download it properly
1> If you have iTunes installed, that should play it - Quicktime probably will as well.
2> Download and install the VLC player - it has h264 support built in, so you don't have to install anything else - LINK
3> Download and install the FFDShow MPEG4 Decoder - LINK
Only do #3 if you know what you're doing!
** Also, please do me a favor and don't upload any of my videos to YouTube.. I spend a lot of time on these things and give them away for free, so please respect this one request. **
