Week 11 had the Green Bay Packers in town and the hot /cold Bills were hot on this weekend. Kelly and Andre Reed were magnificent, as the two had their best game together as team mates. Reed hauled in a team record 15 receptions for 191 yards and 2 TDs. Kelly finished with 365 yards and 2 TDs on the day. Thomas opened the scoring with a 5 yard TD on the Bills first drive. It was the beginning of 24 consecutive points for the Bills. Packer QB Brett Favre answered with a TD pass to Sterling Sharpe, but the point after was blocked. Buffalo capped the perfect half off with a Christie 51 yard FG as time expired. Favre made the game interesting in the 3rd with 2 more TD passes, pulling the Packers to within a TD at 27-20. With 2 minutes left in the game, Favre took over at the Packer 10. NT Jeff Wright registered the only sack of the day on Favre, but it could not have been at a better time. The 9 yard loss placed the Packers 99 yards from the tying score with 2 minutes left. On the next play, DE Phil Hansen was held by the Packer offensive line, and by rule, the holding call in the endzone awarded the Bills an insurance safety and possession of the ball. Buffalo Killed the clock to preserve a 29-20 win, and the Bills moved to 1 game out of the division lead.
