Assuming and most likely Jason Peters suits up on Sunday the Bills have to release a player. Who will it be? I mentioned this in a previous thread what I would do is put Matt Murphy on IR that way we don't get rid of any contributing players. Your thoughts?

Re: Who will the Bills release
It should be Murphy to IR--the move I proposed in an earlier thread--but you're right about how attached the coaches are to Murphy.
Still, with Peters now able to man the starting LT spot and L.Walker able to move back to RT, Chambers has shown that he can be useful enough as a back-up starter that they can afford to keep the healthy young and raw kid, Bell, on the roster where he can develop more than the vet who has a bad shoulder but knows the game enough to step in as a back-up in a real pinch. While Murphy can't practice with the team while on IR, he gets his shoulder problem taken care of so that go into next season healthy, the Bills don't risk losing Bell, and Bell gets a season on the roster to learn and develop.
Keeping Murphy means relying on a guy with a bad shoulder to be your 4th tackle and risking losing Bell, who has shown that he has a lot of promise. The only logical reason to do this is if they aren't convinced that Bell will develop and are willing to risk losing him. Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Re: Who will the Bills release
So Scott/Wendling, Ellis or S. Johnson would be your pick to get the axe?
Lowest on the depth chart at each position. I doubt any of them gets the axe...
Murphy is 4th at LT on the depth chart, Bell is 5th....but they like Bell's potential.
