The inevitable finally happened on Saturday. Bills left tackle Jason Peters was activated to the 53-man roster a week after ending his lengthy holdout and is expected to play Sunday at Jacksonville.

“I’m just glad to be back, to get back into it,” Peters said.

The Bills were given a two game roster exemption for Peters after he reported to the club a week ago. The Pro Bowl lineman returned to the team in good physical condition under his playing weight and with a lower body fat percentage helping his cause to get back in the lineup in short order.

Makes sense, the move they had to make.

While it was the correct move, I feel kinda bad for Murphy. He changes position and by all accounts has done well and now loses his job.

Better than the risk of losing Bell, but I would have not minded seeing Preston get cut.

That's disappointing. I would have rather seen Murphy go on IR. Oh well....at least Peters is back on the team.

Yeah I think Murphy might have told them to just release him rather than IR.

Any chance Murphy gets signed to the practice squad?

He is not eligible for the PS.

He is also not eligible for IR since he is not injured any more.

That's debatable. He could have had surgery but decided to do the rehab instead of season ending surgery.

Well, I haven't seen him practice, but when you miss as much time as he has, there is no way he can be in the same shape as the other players.

when he is ready.

The Bills think he is unless they wouldn't have activated him.

This is true but he did come in under his playing weight last year and lower body fat % as well. We will see how much of a factor "football shape" comes into play tomorrow.

Hopefully he kept his strength. Jauron just may spell him with Walker for a few plays here and there.

Depending on how much the Bills are able to keep the ball on offense, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this happens, given how hot it is supposed to be during the game.
