1. Motivated Marcus. Bills DT Marcus Stroud makes his homecoming to a city where his NFL career began. Word is his departure was less than amicable, so he’ll be eager to make the Jaguars pay for trading him. Stroud could have a field day against the Jags’ interior offensive line, which is starting injury replacements at center and both guard spots. RG Tutan Reyes will need a lot of help from C Dennis Norman to keep Stroud and the rest of the Bills’ front seven out of the backfield. However, containing Stroud is just part of the Jags’ concerns.

2. No running game, no chance for Jags. Jacksonville RBs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew were held to 31 rushing yards combined by Tennessee last week. The Jags’ offense is based on the run setting up the pass. Stroud and company were virtually impenetrable last week. But abandoning the run will make it harder on the Jags’ retooled offensive line to protect QB David Garrard, right, who endured seven sacks and 11 knockdowns last week. Look for Bills defensive coordinator Perry Fewell to exploit that O-line with the array of creative schemes and pressure packages that successfully confused and frustrated the Seahawks last week.
