He promised aggressive play calling and delivered!!

Really, what good is a football season if you can’t whine about the play-calling? Second-guessing the coordinator is one of life’s constants, like complaining about the winters and our children’s taste in music.
Turk Schonert has been on the job for two games and he’s been close to perfect. If he keeps this up, he’ll blow his chance at being the most unpopular man in town, like so many coordinators who preceded him in the job.
Maybe I’m overreacting. But at this point, the question isn’t when Schonert will make his first boneheaded play call. It’s why did it take so long for him to get a chance to run his own offense in the league?

Turk's performance thus far is probably the thing I'm most impressed with thus far. Such a breath of fresh air.

Other pleasant surprises:

1. Stroud. Like others have been saying, he changes the game for everyone around him.
2. Youboty. I think McKelvin not starting at nickel has a lot more to do with the amazing improvement Youboty has shown than it does McKelvin.
3. Trent. Looks like he's big enough for the game.
4. Freddie Jackson. Perfect complement to Marshawn, and love the fact that Turk has been putting them both on the field at the same time. Line one up in the bakfield, and send one out for a pass, and you've got two very dangerous options with the ball in their hands.
