I still have not been able to understand why Steve Tasker hates on the Bills so much when he is announcing. He's been doing it for years now. I always thought it was because he is an ex player and doesn't want to come across completely biased. However, he is beyond frsutrating to watch. Always being negative and pessimistic about the team. Even when we got the last second turnover he was talking about possible hail mary passes from Garrard. What's the deal?

I used to despise Tasker as an announcer, but over the past few seasons, I think he's improved a lot. He doesn't go out of his way to bash the Bills any longer.Comment

Im so into the game i really dont notice what the announcers say lol. Excpet on close plays whether its a first down. But im usually up yellng and dancing while watching. But when john madden announces i listen...for comic relief.

Just look at a number of negative posts on this board. Everyone here loves the Bills. However, you'd be hard pressed to guess that if you were to read many of these posts out of the context of a Bills message board.
I get the impression that he gets frustrated at the mistakes and has something of a personal response to the errors.Still searching for that offensive rhythm.Comment

u know i thought i was the only one who thought this way, but he is a horrible announcer, very biased towards the other team, it is sad to listen to him, then watch him get paid for his West herr commercials, especially when we are doing well it is ok to praise usXTRA CRISPY XTRA SAUCEYComment

leave Steve alone. He's the most knowlegeable commentator there is when it comes tot the bills. He's trying not to look biased when he commentates but we know he's privy to a lot of bills inside info.
Anyone else will be predicting 3-13 like Faulk.Comment

I dont have a beef with him...maybe he just gets frustrated when the bills do stupid things...maybe he just wants to see the team he played for do better....

People are hard on announcers in general, it is a difficult job. I did a lot of color commentary for college basketball and it is a very tough gig. Every word has to be accurate, well timed, and made to sound natural. I think Tasker is solid and will develop into an excellent announcer.Comment

I still miss the teams of Summerall and Madden, Tripi and Criqui from my days growing up. Ya know, like 25 years ago
