That is exactly why he was drafted! It's nice to see it pay dividends after only two weeks.

That instantly became one of my favorite Bills plays ever. Great drive and great catch.

I agree. That's exactly what he's there for, redzone jumpball throw it up high and make him go grab it where no one else can.

Speaking of jerseys...why didn't JAX opt to wear their white ones in that sun/heat? The also opted to kick instead of receive...why???

I think we'll see more teams elect to defer the kickoff now that that option is available. Pittsburgh also did it last night.

I really think that Del Rio is all about showing brute strength and power so he felt that wearing the colored jerseys showed that more. It was a dumb move IMO.

I've always thought that kicking off to begin the game is the smartest/best option. Rarely have teams gone with it though.

Hardy was to only guy in that whole stadium who could have caught that ball. I must have been 12ft in the air

the best part about that play is that is a 24yr old throwing to a 22yr old when the game is on the line
that is exciting

During that drive, I was wondering why we were throwing to the right. THat first catch that went through Hardy's hand looked like he couldn't catch it due to the sun in his face. Another throw was attempted that same side later in the drive that wasn't caught as well . Then came the TD.

From this camera angle it looks like hardy is taller than the stadium. I knew he was tall, but too tall to fit into a stadium is awesome.

I've always thought that kicking off to begin the game is the smartest/best option. Rarely have teams gone with it though.

IMO it is all about gaining momentum early, if you feel like your offense has a good chance to score on the first drive you put them on the field. If you feel like your defense will make an early stop then you put them out first. Surely the Jags better unit would be their defense as their O-Line was so banged up.

Personal preference for me, but I always like receiving the ball after halftime. Plus if the defense can force a punt on the first drive that in itself is a big momentum swing. And on top of all that, if you can score right before the half and get the ball right back after the half the whole game can swing.

Reed with a little grabazz there on Hardy.

And I would also rather kickoff to start the game and receive in the 2nd half. Gives the defense more time to rest before the 2nd half.
