Not bad for the 2nd best QB on the Buffalo Bills (lol)

ESPN 2 rates him the NFL's " Most improved player."

This is still a very young QB and he will only get better.

Check out the QB's rated LOWER than Edwards on this list

Peyton Manning and his brother Eli.....and Brett Farve to name a few!

That is, indeed, good news!

That is impressive even if it is after only 2 games. Well done, Trent!

Come back to me when Trent is the 11th rated passer in the entire NFL after the season is over. ~acehole

Every one ahead of him is doing great so far, so it's nice to see him up there with them. :bf1:

How about Carson Palmer at #32 with a 37.1 QB rating. Wow.

It's nice, but if he were #26 after 2 games, we would dismiss that for not being enough data to judge him on.

2 games is 2 games.....no matter how you slice it.

I am impressed, but not yet convinced that he is a great QB. That will take a couple solid seasons, not a couple solid games.

Edwards is looking good in almost every category, not just passer rating.

I said that he would be in the top 10 this year and I think he will be.

the bills have been so bad for so long, no one wants to believe when we very well could have a great asset in our hand.

He's number 8 now, and people say i want to see more. he'll be #1 and the same people will want a playoff win, and win a playoff win it'll be a superbowl.

I want those things too. but the biggest difference over the last 8 years and right now, is that when the offense has the ball, i have a belief they can score. That is not the case since 2000.

QB rating is the most useless statistic in sports. I'd rather wait till the end of the season and see his TD/INT ratio, his W-L record, how many times he managed to score in the Red-Zone, etc.....

Anybody who thought, at any point last year, that the Bills were better off with Losman starting over Edwards knows nothing about football. Period.

And don't let yourself off the hook for it either. Don't try and rationalize it. ^^^ You know nothing about football!

Edwards is also on pace for a 3200 passing yard season along with 16 TDs.

I do think Buffalo messed with Losman's development permanently because of how many times they threw a QB in front of him. You have to be fair on this point.

The 3,200 I like, the 16 TD's aren't going to cut it though. Next week could be his coming out party, I could see him throwing 4 or 5 TD's against the Rams.

Indeed. 20-25 TD season would be perfect.

25 TD's would be a pretty damn good start. Oh well, until he starts losing it's hard to argue with anything the guy does.

Yeah, 16 TD's would be kind of weak and I expect that to go up, but what I'd more impressed with or interested to see is how low he can keep his INT's. With the combination of our D, ST's and Marshawn Lynch, not making mistakes makes all the difference.

Yes, but playing well as a QB helps lead to 2-0.

Those were two decent defenses and the offense moved the ball pretty consistently. Sustained drives ending in touchdowns is not something we have seen in a long time. Trent is a huge part of that.

There are "experts" out there who are anointing Aaron Rodgers an MVP candidate, so why cant Trent be lauded as having a stellar year?? His numbers are very comparable, hes made big throws, and overall Trent has played against better defenses (the Lions? please, they are one of the worst D's in all of football). He is off to a great start, lets hope he continues this progress.

Trent will continue to get press as long as we win and the Jets lose...

That is reality!

ESPN will only use 4 cameras on Farve this week....its just to expensive to use 6.

it's far too small a sample size to judge where he will be.

but it's a great statement of how good he's been.

All I'm asking for out of Edwards is 200 yds per game and a TD or two per game with limited picks/fumbles throughout the season. I could give a rats ass about his QB rating as long as we win games.

The stats I'm looking for out of him aren't flattering by any means but nonetheless extremely effective when it comes to winning.

3200 yrds
16-25 TDs
8-10 picks

That is actually a passer rating, not a QB rating.

But, his lack of interceptions so far is really, really nice.

Thanks.

Here's a football related post.

If the Bills offense would have had the ball a normal amount of possessions in the second half, we might have put up 30.

We fumbled one and we gave up the onside kick, but there was no hesitation in either the play calling or execution.
Confident and deliberate.

On our three and four wide sets, I didn't see the Jags answer at all, and I was waiting for a Gregg Williams all out blitz that we turn into a 40 yard swing pass or screen.

I had the feeling that there were a lot more plays in our bag than we used, and we converted on nearly every single critical down.

That is what I look for more than stats.
