All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Re: You guys and the Trent Edwards arm strength issue
The system is built around the shorter pass. What we've seen so far this season however is Edwards waiting for the longer route to develop, and that coming more into his game.
Re: You guys and the Trent Edwards arm strength issue
i will admit i douted the guys gun. he has a good arm not no cannon but very nice accurate arm. only gripe i have is when he goes for a bomb ......does it have to be such a rainbow i mean he really adds meaning to air it out.
i have jumped on the edwards bandwagon officailly as off 4pm sept14th
2009 AFC East Division Champs12-4 POZ will lead us to the promise land "That which does not kill me, will only make me stronger" Nietzsche

A gun is great but if you can not make the short throws or read a defense it is little use!

Yes it is a west coast style offense predicated on short quick routes and hitting the WRs in stride. This offense is perfect for Edwards!!!

i'm not debating his arm strength. However, he does seem to prefer the shorter pass.
We have basically one guy on our team that can go deep which is Lee Evans. Pretty hard for Trent to throw alot of deep balls without getting alot of picks. This is exactly why Losman struggled.
Edwards has to be patient and pick his spots. The Jags admitted that the one play that Evans beat them on was the only mistake they made all day covering him. Pretty awesome that Trent made them pay for it.
When Kelly was here he had a nice mix of receivers that could go deep.
Re: You guys and the Trent Edwards arm strength issue
What is this obsession with arm strength? The guy can fling it down the field well enough when needed but his headwork is superb all the time, which is far more important in my book. That 4th quarter drive in Jax was a thing of beauty. he shredded them in the flat and across the middle with dink and dunks and when they adjusted to stop that, he nailed Evans with a 37 yard pass. Beautiful pass right into Lee's arms.

Re: You guys and the Trent Edwards arm strength issue
Every QB in the NFL can chunk the ball 50 yards down field or he wouldn't be in the NFL; that doesn't mean that he has a "strong arm." Arm strength is measured on velocity on throws between 10-15 yards, based on that Edwards does not have a "strong arm." I don't know why people continue to have a problem with this, you don't have to have a freaking Howitzer for an arm to be a good QB in the NFL. Edwards is efficient, he's not a gunslinger, and that's perfectly fine with me.
