Just throwing it out there. He tends to get burned from time to time. Am I wrong assuming this? Opinions please.

Thanks Slick! He makes me nervous out there.

Not sure where this is coming from. Greer has played very well so far this season.

Is there another greer on the team I dont know of? I always thought Jabari was a better at man coverage than MGEE

He does have a tendency to break down from time to time.

everyone gets torched now and then. In a way, I think Youboty is nippin at Greer's heals.

You might be right. If "Shake" Youboty's keeps improving, Greer will have alot to worry about.

greer is doing well. if he is the weakest link, that's not a knock on him. that's means the nickel and dime CB's are really coming along.

Greer is playing above his potential.

The thing with CBs to remember is that they won't stop everyone 100% of the time. They do get burned on occassions. A good CB will have a short memory and can give you what you need on defense 95% of the time. The other 5% is excusable.

We have given up a long of like 22ish. Who has gotton burned again?

We are bringing the heat with more LBs, our corners have been playing stellar so far.

I knew all I'd have to do was throw that out there and it would catch on...

Greer's been solid so far this year.

Could the reason that McGee and Youboty are looking so good this year be that teams are keeping the ball away from Greer and trying to pick on the other CBs, therefore giving them more chances to make big plays? I'm not saying that is the case, but it could be.

Greer is, and has been, very solid. Good tackler too. I was surprised we took a corner #1 (and #4, and #7). I think Greer is very underrated, as is Kyle Williams IMO.....

Greer has turned it up a big notch...

I am really happy with him out there...

Greer is a very good corner. He is fast, positionally sound, and breaks on the ball well. I still think that Greer will eventually give way to McKelvin at some point. You don't draft a corner with the 11th pick unless you think he can be special.

I think the pecking order of our corners can be derived by what opposition offenses do.

Clearly, they are throwing more at Greer than McGee, but Greer seems to be holding up well.

The TD he gave up against Seattle was the result of a weak play on the ball. His coverage was outstanding.

Last week he looked great again, except that we were giving up the underneath short stuff on the outside.
That's on the scheme, not his ability, and it infuriates me on first/second down.

I think our corners and safetys have been the strong point of this D so far, with the D'line a close second.

I think it is also illustrative to look at what the Jags did when we were in nickel.
They went after Youboty, but underneath, and Youboty made plays that mae that strategy a failure.
That is telling.

It aint broke.

That's my favorite part about Greer, he always seems to be able to break up passes that most defenders wouldn't get to.

Greer has been our best and most consistent CB the past two seasons.

Are you kidding?

Greer is the best man CB on the team.

Why don't we wait until Week 5 to assess our CBs, when we play the Cardinals in Arizona.

He's starting beside McGee, ahead of Youboty, McKelvin and Corner. And he seems to be playing well.

Although McGee has had two great picks, if you look at the stats, I believe you'll see that he's actually allowing more receiving yards than Greer is. I hope Greer is next on the resign list, even with McKelvin.

I've been very happy with Buffalo's cornerback play this season. Arizona will be their first big test of the season. Arizona's receivers are not especially fast, but they're big, have great hands and they are physical. They also have an accurate QB getting them the ball.

I actually thought Greer was our best cb last year

was thinking the same thing. Its crazy that the smallest WR they have is Doucet.

I you watch the last 2 games, both teams were going at Greer non stop it seemed! I think teams see Greer as the weakest link.

greer is a mainstay at corner. if the bills have it there way greer mcgee, and mcelvin will be there long term. if greer goes because he is a free agent after this season i see them making a bigger play to keep youboty after this year seeing he is a RFA.

I think Greer is just fine along with the rest of out CBs. The problem is the pass rush, or should I say lack there of...

Just about any NFL QB will pick apart just about any defense with no pass rush.
