    Gauging the AFC

Lets take a look at the two week performances of some of the conference's best teams:

Buffalo Bills: (2-0) Beat two divisional round playoff teams from last year. Although both teams were injury depleated on the offense, both team's strengths rely on their healthy defenses, defenses that the bills scored a combined 53 points on.

Pittsburgh Steelers: (2-0) Looked great demolishing the some-thought sleeper Texans but looked very beatable against the 0-2 Browns. Haven't yet defeated a playoff team from last year.

Denver Broncos: (2-0) Demolished the terrible Raiders and got more credit than deserved because it was on MNF. If not for two horrible calls in the game against the Shawn Merriman and LT-less Chargers, Denver would be 1-1. Way too much hype for this team.

NE Patriots: (2-0) Beat one terrible team (chiefs) and one mediocre team (jets). With an aging defense and without Brady, this team will be unable to keep up with the good afc teams, though their easy schedule may hide this fact for a few weeks.

Tennessee Titans: (2-0) Why is this team so good? Beat divisional foe Jacksonville at home and demolished the crappy bungles. Jury still out on how good they are.

Indianapolis Colts: (1-1) Manning is back. This team will most likely beat out the Titans for the division. Haven't yet played an afc team.

    Chargers, Browns, Jaguars:
(0-2) I don't know if all these teams can turn their seasons around, but you have to think that the Chargers certainly are better than that record. We'll see if one or two make their ascendency throughout the season. Browns play the NFC East this year ie. they're done.

Overall, the Bills have the most impressive 2 week resume with the Steelers looking like the team to beat in the AFC. A lot of underachieving teams with much more difficult schedules than the Bills.

Lets exorcise the Music City Curse! No playoffs since so-called "miracle." LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!!

We are now going into a weaker part of our schedule, so it will even out that the teams besides us that won will have some more difficult times ahead.

our schedules looks weak but you'll never know which teams are really weak. Teams playing us prior to the season starting thought we'd be a weak team to play. Now they're saying "OMG , we have to play the bills. Run for your lives"

Every week is a tough week. 51-3 bills.

Thats the impressive thing. We beat the Jags defense in their own stadium. The same defense that caused Indy trouble in regular season and Pittsburgh trouble in the playoffs.

It's a definite accomplishment to be able to put up points against that Jags defense that was and I think still is one of the best D's in the league. Add on that we did it with a very young QB, RB, and a rookie WR catching a TD pass.
