First Up is the ACC Unbeatens;
We are three weeks deep into the 2008 NCAA College Football season, and what a season its been already. So far we have 39 undefeated teams with more and more falling off every Saturday. But lets take a look at how these 39 teams have begun undefeated.

ACC:
Florida State (2-0)
Florida State’s offense has sprung to life so far this season and much of it is due to new faces. QB Christian Ponder has 6 TD throws so far, and backup D’Vontrey Richardson has 2 more TD throws and 2 TD scrambles. Fabulous Freshman Jermaine Thomas (RB) and Bert Reed (WR) have combined to score 4 TD’s (2 rushing, and 2 receiving) and lead the team in each respective category. So far the defense has yet to be tested but will next week v. Wake Forest. If FSU is to continue on its good fortunes then they must continue to have QB Christian Ponder find Reed and Juco transfer Corey Surrency.

Wake Forest (2-0)
This years Wake Forest team has been led by the return of QB Riley Skinner from injury last year. Skinner is hitting on 74% of his passes and has 5 TD throws to no INT. The youngster duo of Sophmore RB Josh Adams, and Freshman RB Brandon Pendergrass have combined 163 yards, and 3 TD on 48 carries. Catching the ball from Skinner are senior WR DJ Boldin, and junior TE Ben Wooster. Leading the way on defense are seniors LB Aaron Curry, and CB Alphonso Smith. A huge ACC matchup looms for Wake this Saturday when they take on FSU.

North Carolina (2-0)
Maybe the story of the ACC so far are the upstart Tarheels. Led by Sophmore QB TJ Yates and Senior Specialist Brandon Tate the Tarheels are dangerous on offense and with Marvin Austin holding down the defensive line the heels are tough on D. Tate may be the breakout player of the year so far, through two games he has absolutely torched opponents. He has 125 rushing yards, 231 receiving yards, 114 kick return yards, and a 146 punt return yards! He has scored 4 times so far (1 Punt Return, 2 Receiving, and 1 Rushing) and has been unstoppable. A big time game with Virginia Tech looms this weekend at Kenan Stadium and then matchups with fellow undefeated teams in UConn and Notre Dame.
