In honor of Bruce going up on the wall...

Since Bruce is going up on the wall this weekend, I thought it would be nice to remember him with your favorite Bruce Smith memory.

Mine was seeing him live for the first (and only time) at Rich in 1987. It was his second year in the league and he was already making a name for himself as a sack machine. When he hit Grogan and put him out for the game, it was beautiful.

My brother met Bruce and Darryl Talley at a bar in Virginia Beach back in the day. He said they were both very nice, and they were willing to talk with him for a few minutes. He got his pic taken, standing between the two of them.

My brother looked like a dwarf.

My first time ever at the Ralph for a scrimmage against the Redskins. My dad took me over to where the players enter the stadium and we saw him walk in in street clothes. I couldn't believe how huge the guy was!

Mine was my first game at the Ralph in 1998 against the Pats. He got a couple of sacks on "Nancy" Drew Bledsoe to put the game away. Fun game....

He is my favorite Bills player of all time.

Bruce Smith was a major reason that I became a Bills fan - he and Leon Seals one sunday afternoon were absolutely terrorizing John Elway - if Elway wasn't getting sacked by Bruce, then his passes were being deflected by Leon Seals.
