I read somewhere that the Bills coaches were really not enamored with Crowell's play, too much freelancing, resulting touchdowns like Fred Taylor's 50+ yard run last year. So there may be something why the Bills made the move so quickly.
I fully understand that the Bills move implied that they are still paying his full salary.
On the other hand, Crowell side has been keeping the damage (to the Bills) to be minimal by keeping their mouth shut.
