All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

The Bills were feeling the effect of the Jax game for days. They didn't have a full week of practice and came out flat, all three phases. But they did have eough in the tank to pull it out, more heart than anything.
I don't doubt for a moment, that if they didn't play in that heat and had a full week to prepare, it wouldn't have been that close.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't repeat myself.
The reason it was so close was the constant drizzle that was affecting Edwards play more than anyone plus the OL ( Fowler,Butler,Peters ) getting their backside handed to them most of the day.
Great win but keep drafting talented OL.

I actually thought the same thing. I've said on this board before that when your body is tired, a lot of subtle things can happen, all bad.
The O-line is an obvious example. They were constantly a little slow compared to Raiders D-Line. Now granted, the Raiders have a fast D-Line, but this is the worst O-Line performance I've seen since last year and I believe last week's heat is a reason.
As the game wore on, they got better, a sign that the body finally came out the "dodging valley." I want to point out that Edwards, beside that he himself had the same issue, was not able to step forward in the pocket in the first half because the interior O-Line was always in damage control mode, which made Peters' man in the highlight of speed rushing all the time. In the 4th quarter, when Edwards did have a pocket to step up to, that speed rushing weren't near as effective (I do want to give Peters credit as well because he played a little better, too).
I tell ya another factor why it was so close the damn calls the refs made. First of all, that INT Trent throw, not only wasn't a pick, but it should've been ruled a catch. Evans had possession of that ball, knee went down, then the ball was taken away. Horrible!!! Then, the offensive pass interference call was ridiculous. That would've set us up great, but the next play we had to punt.
Also, nice return by McKelvin, but next time juke the kicker, rather than try to out run him.

I never posted it here, but I had a feeling that turnovers were going to be an issue in this game. And if I would have thought about it, I would have been more worried about Lechler....that guy is as good as Moorman....and that is a huge weapon.
I do think the Bills played a sloppy game...in all three phases, but I also think that
the Raiders have a pretty solid team from top to bottom. I think they might surprise some people this year. I do feel that they need a different coach, but talent wise, they seem pretty solid.
