Nothing's really guaranteed until this moment, so you take it in stride. I'm excited and happy.
The Lions wanted Steve Mariucci, the hometown boy. You're also a hometown boy. How do you feel about playing in your hometown? Will it motivate you to perform better?
That will definitely motivate me to do better. The one thing about it, I feel like I'll bring more energy the organization needs. Everything is kind of set in place, all Joey (Harrington) needs is to be surrounded by good talent. And no doubt about it, I think Detroit is on its way up.
