NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Marc Bulger will be benched this week for Trent Green. No other details are available yet, so we'll see if Bulger is healthy. If he is, this is a desperate move by a desperate team, and we doubt it will go well. Green is below league average as a starter and is unlikely to ignite this offense. Bulger signed a big contract last year, but his future with the organization is now. Fantasy owners should get the news confirmed, then feel free to drop him.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Marc Bulger benched....
Wow.
And Bulger is making a big buck.
Green is a smart veteran, but is as mobile as my dead grandmother. If the Bills can get pressure like they have been much of the season, they should be able to get him down.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Marc Bulger benched....
NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Trent Green will take over as the Rams' starting quarterback. No word if the change is heath related, but we doubt it. Green is not going to save your fantasy season; we'd rather have Kerry Collins. Green knows Al Saunders' system, but he's been a below aveage quarterback since taking a vicius hit in 2006 and the problems in St. Louis go beyond their quarterback.

Originally posted by pinkdogg32I dont get this...has anyone seen enough of the Rams to determine whether Bulger is doing so poorly that he deserves this? His numbers dont look terrible, considering he has played some decent opponents defensively.
Bell being injured hasn't helped, Pace looks old, Barron is the biggest first round bust in the league, and Holt looks slow. The coaches still aren't getting McMicheal involved, CB's might be amongst the worst in the league, and the DL isn't getting the kind of pressure they should be getting with two first round picks on it. Little has been injured on and off and Weatherspoon forgot how to tackle. Jackson sits on the sidelines alone with his head down most of the time and the new owner doesn't like half the people on the team (coaches or players). It's a great team to be a part of
