I already miss being the underdog...

    Is that bad?

All this publicity means we cant suprise people anymore. I am sitting here so completely stoked on being 3-0. I dont really know what to do with myself. I guess I need to see us manhandle the Rams the same way we did Seattle and I might feel like all this press is deserved. But right now I dont know I just dont feel right.

    Anyone else feeling like this.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I do. I'd rather slide right into the dance virtually unnoticed.

as long as we keep winning i dont care whether every single person in the world is talking about us, at the same time, with the words synched together so it is a deafening roar everywhere you go.

Yeah, there's been far too much harmony on the boards lately

I like being the underdog, but it also bothers me when we don't get the credit or media coverage we deserve. It's a double-edge sword for me.

            It's lonely at the top.

Wanted to say that for quite some time now.

Just because you know the left hook is coming doesn't mean you can stop it.

Super Bowl years we werent the underdog and I liked it a **** load better.

Being the underdog only lasts so long...if you want to be good, you can no longer be the "underdog", so unless you like losing seasons, get used to not being the underdog anymore.

Everybody needs to stop worrying about that. Jauron has this team completely focused. There was just an article on how the team has taken Jauron's approach.

If that's true, they're only worried about one game...

Jauron on the Miami Dolphins beating the New England Patriots and what that means to the AFC East:
You know, we don’t play either one of them for awhile, so I don’t make much of it. It’s so early in the year. I’ve said all along that our division is a tough division. I think everybody improved. I certainly didn’t see the Patriots take any steps backwards, talking about going into the year, and here we are. I think it’s going to be a fight all year. We don’t play them for awhile and all I know is that we play St. Louis this week. After that, I don’t have any idea who we’re playing, so we have to get ready for that one.

haha good point about being the underdog

but no, i wont miss it. hell, i dont miss it yet because im not even convinced these bills have arrived. but when i do finally acknowledge that i wont miss being the underdog

and you know whats funny, when jimbos bills were so good for so long the home games got boring. i had seasons that whole stretch and its super fun demolishing everybody - for about two seasons. after that you start wondering if they removed the front edge of your seat. i actually found myself hoping the other team would return a fumble for a td or something just to make the game interesting

Sure we surprised some teams last year and that was good for a 7-9 season and the 8th season without playoffs.

No thanks. I would prefer to intimidate and win anyways.
