The Buffalo Sabres had the 3rd logo down painted on the HSBC Arena ice and Mike Gilbert tells us that every team that owns a third jersey is going to have their alternate logo painted at center ice just for preseason, Carolina has the 3rd jersey logo painted at center on their home ice the hurricane warning flag with a triangle. When the regular season comes it will be back to the real logo :gosabres:

this has nothing to do with the :oldskool: logo!, this has everything to do with the building across the street that's going to start to be ripped down in 6 days! The Aud was home of the Sabres from 1970-1996 people that live in Buffalo still have a passion and love of the Aud and gee what logo did we have when the Sabres closed the Aud? why it was the :oldskool: I just find it funny that the Sabres decide to unveil the third in the same year that the Aud is being ripped down. Also the Sabres said in the press conference that Tom Gollisano and Larry Quinn was doing during "puckdrop" events that the Sabres will bring stuff over from the Aud Club and it will be placed in the HSBC Arena like they did with the "Poormans Aud Club" and the blue Aud chairs being auctioned off. The late Seymour Knox III even said it that the :oldskool: logo belongs in the 1970's era along with the Aud that's why the Sabres decided to go to the "Mad Cow" who Sabres fans we're against when it came out also and that was a hot jersey also in sales when the Sabres unveiled it.

Everything that came after it, was a money making scheme to get
more of the fans money. They got my money when we went to the
black and red 'goathead' scheme, I thought because of the new building
and all, we were changing, and those jerseys were a lot better than SLUG!
But now I see it's just ripping the fans for money, and going to a crappy logo.

Authentic slugs cost the same, and it'll be the last jerseys I'll ever need,
so 'charge it' and pay it off, those are worth the money.

I like the third jersey. I like the old Sabres crest logo better than the new one. The new one sold because it was new and the Sabres were relevant again. Plus, there are tons of Buffalo Fans everywhere. I also like the Bills old royal blue uniforms. Many have also expressed that they don't like the newer Bills uniforms, especially those "pajama" whites. But, when you go to the stadium, you still see thousands of those jerseys in the stands. People will buy those things to "support their team". I have only bought one "jersey" in my life and that was when then were going to the black uniforms and the "goathead". Laux was trying to get rid of all their blue and gold, so I bought a white jersey for $20. I almost bought a Drury jersey with the "slug" on it. If he would have stayed, I guarantee that I would have had he stayed, and then I would have bought the "third" jersey when it came out.

I guess I'm trying to say that it is stupid to tell someone that they aren't as big a fan or not just because of the jersey they wear. Just as it is dumb to tell people who would rather have the old jersey that the new jersey is more popular just because of jersey sales. Wear your Sabres gear proudly whatever you have (even if it is the black and red ones) and let's go Buffalo!
