Would anyone have guessed the Bills would be a road favorite by more than a touchdown in this decade? Something about this game doesn't smell right to me. Ram GM Billy Devaney said the other day the team is putting every ounce of energy into winning this one game, and Trent Green will play more decisively than Marc Bulger was, if both of their recent history is any indication. Just a hunch the Rams have a big Sunday in 'em.
Prediction: St. Louis Rams 23, Buffalo Bills 13

King is an idiot. While there is a chance that this could be the outcome, I doubt it. And I certainly wouldnt bet on it.

I like it. The Rams are putting everything they have into a win. If this team wants to do well they will have to face this mentality a lot. Lets go out there and get it done.

Good. I hope this gets out. I hope a bunch of people pick us to lose. Underdog status is a good thing, especially if we keep winning anyway.

He has the Bills in his "Fine Fifteen" but I think he has picked against the Bills every game this season so far. Fine by me.

After last weeks game, anything can happen! We were picked to blow out Oakland as well.

I like how the GM says they're putting all their energy in to winning this one game as if that means something. What has your team been doing for the past 3 weeks? What does he think all the other teams in the NFL do every single week?

yordad
09-25-2008, 01:38 PM
OK, it isn't impossible for the Bills to lose, but it is irrational to think they will.

Maybe what he smells is his analysis, because that smells pretty bad.

And like Ed said, doesn't evey team go all out to win every week?

Like the Rams losing by 29 points a game on average?? Is their aweful play that is making you feel this way??

Look at it this if JAX or the Seahawks played them, how would the game go??

meh i think peter king is just trying to be provocative by picking an upset.... every week he predicts some sort of upset, this week it just happened to be you guys. he rarely hits on those picks though, so i wouldn't put too much weight into it.

you guys still have Chris Berman, he'll pick you guys to win. ;)

RockStar36

He picks against the Bills just about every week. What about this upsets you guys? It's the NFL. It's possible for Buffalo to lose this game. Stop acting like it's a guaranteed win.

I think some of you guys just think this season so far is too good to be true. You feel that in real life we Bills fans are due for a large let down. You feel we should be crashing down to less then mediocre normality any day now. You don't want to get too excited, or buy into it, because you've been suckered 78 times before.

Well pinch yourself already, THIS TIME IT'S DIFFERENT BABY!

I'm curious what signs you see that lead you to believe it has the 'makings of an upset' that don't apply to other games where there is a clear favorite.

I've said this about PK before, and i'll say it again. This guy just follows trends in the most visible NFL storylines. He like the Pats, likes favre, and follows the best teams. He isn't a football guy knowing his x's and o's. He's made his career by having great contacts and getting timely interviews with big names during big stories.

He is not the guy to break down a game's film and tell us if a team is for real. That job is left to former football players like Jaws, Simms, Aikman.

I also think that PK, if he had interviewed Ralph Wilson this week instead and got a sound clip that said, "I've owned this team for half my life and want a superbowl this year." he'd have gone the other way and wrote, "something's in the air about these bills, they want it more." It's just a story.

The Bills won't be on PK's radar until they are consistent winners and players on the bills are of national interest. That's the story with PK.

Personally, i don't like his football knowledge. I think he too often follows convention because it's easy. this kind of thinking makes you a follower instead of an independent thinker and you end up hanging yourself on someone else's logic instead of your own.

Didn't you read Peter King's comment? The "markings" are all in the "something" that "doesn't smell right."

It's all there. No way to argue.

me too. and I have a hunch the longer that we're the underdog, the better our record is going to be. I think Oakland caught us with a little premature confidence. glad we got away with that one, hope it's a lesson learned.

They are really pulling out all the stops to try and win this game. Well duh. It's an nfl team and they are going to bring it they all do. But pulling out all the stops just means they are going to be taking more chances and likely going to get blown out by a bigger margin or get a win.

We're not the underdog at all. King just doesn't think we can handle business on the road against a team backed into a corner, desperate for a spark. Not that bold of a prediction. I said earlier we lose 24-17.

Night Train

These guys always try to find a " I called it " pick each week. King doesn't follow this team at all.

I take it at face value. It's meaningless.

09-25-2008, 06:04 PM
Does King really think those other 3 games the Lambs lost were preseason games so now they're really concentrating on this game because it's their season opener? WTF!

If he smells anything, it's the reek coming from the St. Louis lockerroom and that awful stank of a team.

the only thing i worry about is steven jackson because he is by far the best RB we have faced this year. i know are run D is much improved but this will be a test for them, i think we win 17-10 or 24-13 not a blowout but a clear victory. and i also think its close the first half. there going to run ALOT to try to get green aclumated to the offense before they open it up. if we can get a good pass rush and get green alittle scared (since he has taken some huge shots the past 2 years) on the 2nd and medium and 2nd and 3rd and long situations, and keep them running the ball and contain jackson (who WILL be a test for us) we will be fine.

What i think is funny is that Green is going to come into a offense that has let Bulger get pummelled the past two games. So what is Green and his walker going to do? It's not like Green has Vick speed.

And Peter King is a tool always has been and always will be. If i had a press pass i would be considered a expert to. I hope king comes to Buffalo and he chokes on a chicken wing that fat bastard.

Not this year son. You're thinking of S.Jackson from last year and years prior. This year he is just anther over paid back that held out of camp way to long and is now realizing he should of came to camp played out his current deal and got out of dodge.
