VIDEO: Raiders at Bills Highlights

This may be my favorite one yet.. which usually doesn't bode well for you guys.. :D It was a lot of fun making this one.

I'm encoding a little differently, and the file is actually an mp4 now, so don't change the extension to avi.

h264 requires a lot more horsepower than older codecs like wmv, divx, xvid.. these videos are sized down enough that it shouldn't be an issue, but if you notice the playback is jumpy, that's probably the reason.

1> If you have iTunes installed, that should play it.

2> Download and install the VLC player - it has h264 support built in, so you don't have to install anything else.

If you don't want VLC to take over as your default player, uncheck the File Type Associations box during installation.

If you don't even want to install VLC, download the zipped version, unzip it and execute the program right from the folder without installing anything.

Incidentally, I'm not Three Days Grace fan either - but I heard the song in a commercial during the game and checked it out, and it fit really well with what I wanted to do.. The slow part at the end was perfect for a few Raider highlights, which I thought they deserved, they played us tough.

JJ...that was amazing..It told the story of the game perfectly..wow i am amazed man. I loved how you threw the dark colors when the raiders were pulling ahead..then trent comes and leads the pack on the bench and takes em to the field!...perfect song for it.

JJ sometimes when i download things with mozzilla it says " Close all other mozzilla windows before downloading" I think my brother fixed it though I dont know how. But all you had to do was close all the windows not that big fo a deal. But i never had that with yours.

Agreed. The Bad day song is one of the things I always remember now when I hear that song. It worked so perfectly for the Miami dolphins highlights and when they showed Mularkey's face. :snicker:

After watching this a couple more times, I love the song choice. The key is to listen to the song and the way you match the words with the game. It's always so perfect. I also agree with what mybills said, the black and white addition is pretty sweet too.... :up:

my only complaint about many of these vids is the music. ive never been a fan of that high distortion grunge sound cuz i think its way overused and isnt very artistic imo. this selection was a ton more palatable and was actually well matched to the situation in the game

Winamp is supposed to handle .mp4 files but it doesn't and I got the most recent version. I just use VLC because it's updated regularly and handles over 90% of the media out there on the net.

When I click the link it opens up the QuickTime player in a new window. No video is show, just music. I thought it was because I'm on Mozilla but I just tried it in Internet Explorer and still no dice.

As far as the field goal drive, the music always determines how many clips I can fit in. There were also a couple of nice defensive plays that got us the ball back after the TD, but something's got to give.

Wow, I've always liked the VLC player but they really stepped up their game with this last update.
