Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf) quarterback Trent Edwards (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10536) knows his team can't get too giddy about its 4-0 start. So does his favorite target, wide receiver Lee Evans (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5538). They can see how far the Bills have come with a roster that is short on experience and long on talent. But they also realize the Bills will grow up even more once their offense learns how to jump out to faster starts.

That is the one fact that was obvious after Buffalo earned a 31-14 victory over the winless St. Louis Rams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=stl) on Sunday. As much as there is to like about the Bills - and they're about as refreshing a story as you can find in the NFL right now - it was hard to watch their offense struggle so mightily against a Rams defense that is allowing 36.8 points and 411.8 yards per game. The Bills had no rhythm. They manufactured few big plays and just 277 yards overall. And in the end this contest was much closer than the score would ever indicate.

Meh. Horrid first half, but there's something to be said for outscoring a team 25-0 in the second half.

Individual stats are pretty immaterial when you win.

Meh, they're professionals no matter how "bad" the team. St. Louis played the Giants close up until the 4th quarter the other week and no one questioned New York (even when they needed OT to beat the Bengals).

All that matters is the win.

I couldn't agree more with the exception of the following.

1.) Who said the Bills were an elite team? They are coming off of a 7-9 record, playing a relatively easy schedule and have a very young team. They should be considered an up and coming team.

2.) Peters groove is between his checks. His butt is getting burned an he isn't even making an attempt to cut the DE down once he loses position. Strong lineman will get lose battles but the second effort and sticking with a block aren't there with Peters.

3.) More of an add on, but the slow start is going to get TE knocked out of a game or worse. The line needs to be more attentive to the rush an TE needs to get better at checking out of plays. He is young, that will come. The line is however more experienced. Could it be the Oline coach?

4.) The Bills went away from their ball controll offense in this game. Gone were the long time consuming drives. They tried to do a shoot out and it wasn't working. They went back to the team they are in the second.
