It amazes me when I see Marshawn rushing consistently for under 100 yards and we win? Our team is excellent. Marshawn is a beast but we do not rely on him as much as other successful teams would...

H ewould have been close to 100 if not for 2 holding calls on big runs by him. IMO we rely on him a lot and he gets it done in the clutch, the man claws and fights for extra yardage all the time if not for that we don't keep the drive going.

We don't rely on him because our OLine can't run block worth a damn.

100 yard rushers are becoming less prevalent in today's nfl, with the dual backfields and worries of wearing down RBs becoming more widespread.

That being said, it has been mentioned here before that it would be great to see what Marshawn would do if he actually had a hole to run through once in a while. If marshawn makes it past the first line of defense, he almost always gets 15+ yards because he is so adept at avoiding tackles. Part of the reason he isnt getting those 100 yard games is our run blocking, and the other is that Freddy is solid and gets some of Lynch's carries.

I look at team rushing and not individuals. Fred Jackson is a nice complement to Marshawn and will help keep Marshawn fresher as we rely more on the running game when the weather gets bad.

I don't expect lynchs nos. to go up especially since Jackson is making plays too. I do however expect Lynch to be fresh in the 2nd half because of Jackson.

It shows how well the defense has been playing and how well the passing game is working. However there will be times when we'll need to simply grind it out against better teams, and then we will need a 100 yard rusher.

Our special teams makes a relevant difference in our game outcomes too...

indeed...no one even pays attention anymore when Moorman pins the other team inside their 20 on 5 out of his 6 punts, like he did yesterday.

Well, we better be able to run the ball when we make it to the Super Bowl. I'd hate to go into that game with our run game being below average.

Arizona got torched in the air yesterday. I bet they will focus on the pass D a lot this week. Marshawn will have a monster game on the ground. I see a grind it out type of game this weekend.

Our run game is disappointing. It needs to get going if we're expected to beat better teams.

I blame the OL.

You also need to consider the Jackson factor. Two good backs is nothing to cry about. They seem to be a perfect compliment

We have had 100 yards from a rusher, it just happened to be two guys instead of one.
