<!-- End /PubSys/Story/MediaBox/MediaBox.comp --><!--endclickprintexclude-->The Buffalo Bills have released fullback Darian Barnes and replaced him with Corey McIntyre, league sources confirmed to The Buffalo News on Monday night.
The Bills have not made an official announcement and attempts to get a comment from the team Monday night were unsuccessful.
Barnes, who was signed during the offseason, suffered a sprained foot during the Bills’ win over Oakland two weeks ago. He was limited in practice the past week and put on the inactive list for Sunday’s game at St. Louis.
Barnes didn’t have a rushing attempt, but caught two passes for 34 yards and provided solid blocking for running backs Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. The Bills were the fifth team Barnes played for in his seven-year career.
Like Barnes, McIntyre is a journeyman who played for three teams during his four years in the league. The 6-foot, 258-pounder was the Atlanta Falcons’ special teams captain last season. The Falcons cut him at the end of training camp.
