All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Miller got stroked up 3 goals on the first five shots by the Wild tonight. The Sabres have only won one game so far in preseason and they had to come back in the last seconds to do that. I know these games are absolutely meaningless, so I am not calling for panic to set in, but shouldn't this team be getting honed in a little more by now considering the real bullets start flying in a little over a week, especially Miller
This Sabre fan isn't too worried about the pre-season. Besides, if this team plays like it did last year, at least in the second half of the season, we will have home ice advantage for the 1st round of the playoffs.
If our defense improves, which it really should considering the personnel changes, and we can remain relativelly injury free (Connolly), we will be happy with the results of the upcoming season. I didn't even mention the offensive improvements which should also be coming from guy like Roy and Vanek getting older and better. I guess I did just mention them.
It would seem that Miller decided that the first period was his own personal warm-up time. Believe me, I was freaking out and getting pissed.
That being said, you NEVER know what's going to happen in a hockey game.

Can we please wait until a few games into the regular season before we get concerned? Like said before, considering that a decent amount of these guys will be back in the AHL by opening night, I wouldn't take too much stock in the pre-season.
