Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham If the Buffalo Bills push their record to 5-0 by beating the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, then Trent Edwards will become only the sixth first- or second-year quarterback since 1970 to win five straight to start a season.
Edwards would join Doug Williams of the 1979 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dan Marino of the 1984 Miami Dolphins, Dieter Brock of the 1985 Los Angeles Rams, Kurt Warner of the 1999 St. Louis Rams and Daunte Culpepper of the 2000 Minnesota Vikings.
Edwards last year was drafted in the third round, 92nd overall, out of Stanford.

Not that it means anything. But the other five teams that had their young QB start at 5-0 all saw their team go deep into the post season.

The 1999 Rams finished 13-3 and won the Super Bowl
The 1984 Dolphins went 14-2 and went to the Super Bowl before losing.
The 1979 Bucs went 10-6 and lost in the NFC Conference Championship
The 1985 Rams went 11-5 and lost the NFC Conference Championship
The 2000 Vikings went 11-5 and lost the NFC Conference Championship.

I’d take getting to the conference championship right now and seeing what happens

Also if the Bills win this week Trent's record as starter will become 10-4. He would tie JP Losman (10-21) for wins as starter.

Wow Losman only has 10 wins as a starter. I have always supported him but damn only 10 wins that is just sad. I am glad we found our quarterback of the future and hopefully he will lead us to playoffs for many years to come. Did we find the next golden child of the N.F.L?

Wow Losman only has 10 wins as a starter. I have always supported him but damn only 10 wins that is just sad. I am glad we found our quarterback of the future and hopefully he will lead us to playoffs for many years to come. Did we find the next golden child of the N.F.L?
