You need Sopcast to view this stream.

It has worked for plenty. Some complain of slowness but you have to deal with that to have a chance at watching. I would give it a try. If you like it give him a few bucks

It wouldn't matter, my server could take it easily... i'm not posting there anymore because of a couple people that pissed me off.

I didn't mean getting hammered in terms of traffic overload. I meant the league looks to that site to crack down on people streaming games.

Can I view the game without downloading the sopcast application?
Good question. If this is something new it sounds like you have to. I watched preseason on xs and didn't have to do a thing. I also watched it outside and I didn't have a problem with it skipping (which I was told happens more on Firefox) so I'd also like to know if we have to download sopcast now.

You'd have to download the sopcast software if that's what he's changing the broadcast to. It's pretty simple to install and he'll just give you an address to throw into the software on gameday I imagine.

If he says it requires it then yes you will have to have it. The program is required to view the stream.

If you already have it installed.. you will simply click on the link I post and it will automatically open sopcast and connect to my channel. I can also embed the channel on my page if need be.. but it also requires an activex plugin, and it's for Internet Explorer only.

If you have a regular picture tube it would be tough. If you have a flat panel HD TV it is simple. Just connect with a d-sub monitor cable.

XS- you rock, man. Next time you're in Boston, the wings and brew are on me! I downloaded Sopcast, but haven't used it before and my BillsFixAnxiety has me worried that it won't work come Sunday. How can I test to be sure my security/firewall demons won't have me cursing over a missed first quarter? Thanks!

Yes, your laptop should have an s-video output so just get a s-video cable and your all set. Almost all TV's have s-video input, whether it be CRT, LCD or Plasma. And if you want sound from your TV too, (instead of the laptop) buy a 3mm to RCA (audio, red+white) cable and hook it into your TV's audio input.
