So, whether or not he sucks is irrelevant to the Bills.

I was rooting for the guy when he got here but it didn't work out. Oh, well- that's the nature of sports. Time to move on.

agreed 100%. bench is where he will be. im feel bad the way things worked out for the guy. edwards is tha man. but losman isnt as bad as people make him out to be. he didnt do so bad for coming into the show for the first time this season against a tough cards team. wish him the best in the future(hopefully somewhere else though)

it's kind of funny that JPs downfall is his ability to get/keep his head in the game and people are claiming he's a good backup. Now that has been exposed and they are still making excuses. It's the last gasp of a dying breed of stupidity.

The backup is supposed to come in and try and win you a few game games. Losman is not that guy. I'd rather have Hamden.

how you go from one point to the second point is beyond me. i think there is alot of other stuff for the coaches to deal with as to why they don't cut him. the fact he isn't cut doesn't mean i think the coaches are stupid. like everything else in the world, there is a grey area.

i think there are factors outside of raw football talent that goes into the coaches decisions. they know JP as an individual. He comes across as a good guy. he isn't a diva. I think they want to see him succeed. I also think the Coaches at this level think they can fix people who have talent but no smarts. that's why they've been hired. for them to give up on him is a failure in themselves. and they see him perform ok in the backup role at practices. i think they want him to be a good number 2. they are stubborn to not accept that he won't be able to do it on gameday when everything counts.

I also think even if they think he sucks, they can't say it. 1. you don't bad mouth your own players. Heath Shuler and Ryan leaf weren't outed by their coaches as being bad for the team. but they were. 2. if you actually are rooting for the guy and you think you can help him, you have to say stuff to get his confidence up. Everyone knows losman sulks once stuff goes bad during a game. you have to coddle him. 3. to let him go actually shows a lack of faith in your scouts. JP was a TD pick, but the scouting department is largely the same.
